Introduction

Yung Shue Au (Chinese: 榕樹凹) is a Hakka village which is located in northeast of Hong Kong. All the villagers bear the same family name"WAN" (温). Administratively, it falls within the North District and is part of Sha Tau Kok, a small inland town used to be the market place for the villages nearby. Yung Shue Au means banyan tree pass, a mountain pass next to the north bay of Yung Shue Au Bay on the peninsula northeast of Pat Sin Leng. The location is adjacent to Starling Inlet and close to the maritime border between Hong Kong and Shenzhen.
